ISIS has lost control over most of Iraq

The terrorist organization ISIL has lost most of the territory it held in Iraq in 2014.

This was stated by the representative of the Iraqi army Yahya Rassoul.

“The IG has lost most of the territory it held in Iraq in 2014”, – stated in the message.

According to Rasula, at the height of his power, ISIS controlled about 40% of Iraq.

After a lengthy military operations which still continue in the city of Mosul, that figure was reduced to 6.8% of the territory of Iraq. As you know, ISIS militants still control the city Border, tal afar and Javea in Iraq, and Raqqa, their de facto capital in Syria.
