Iraq asked for help in building a nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes.
“Iraq calls related nuclear countries to help to build a nuclear reactor for peaceful purposes … under the non-proliferation Treaty,” said foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafar, the General Assembly of the United Nations in new York.
In Iraq there were three nuclear reactors. One of them was destroyed by the Israeli air RAID in 1981, but two other aircraft of the United States in 1991.
