The Iranian delegation headed by the President arrived in Russia to discuss regional issues.
Iranian authorities have allowed Russia to use Iranian military bases for air strikes on militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (ISIS) in Syria “in specific cases”.
This was stated by Reuters, the foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif.
“Russia has no military base (in Iran), we have good cooperation, and in specific cases, when the Russians need to fight the terrorists to use Iranian facilities, we will make a decision,” said Zarif.
According to the Minister, regional issues, including Syria, will be discussed at the meeting in the Kremlin later on Tuesday, March 28.
On the eve of the Iranian delegation headed by President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Moscow on Monday, March 27.
Recall that Iran in the Syrian conflict on the side of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, providing his forces support in fighting with the moderate Syrian opposition and terrorist groups, who gained power during the conflict.
