The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Belarus demanded an explanation from Lithuania in connection with the statements of its President Dalia Grybauskaite on the Belarusian threat to the Baltic countries and Poland.
“On June 6 in connection with the statements of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite in an interview with broadcaster LRT in the Belarusian foreign Ministry had summoned the Ambassador of Lithuania”, – stated in the message of the foreign Ministry.
During the meeting the Belarusian side demanded an explanation in connection with charges of Belarus the threat to the Baltic countries and Poland, which came from the lips of the head of the Lithuanian state, said the Minister.
In Minsk said that Grybauskaite vocabulary, including the word “aggressive play” is insulting to Belarus, “who leads a peace-loving policy.”
June 5, in the mentioned interview to the Lithuanian leader called “challenge and threat” to the neighboring Russia and Belarus.
“Estonia, like Latvia and Poland are very important for us, as is the Eastern border of NATO, so the challenges and threats of the same. It is the presence of Russia and Belarus in our Eastern borders.
