A regular apartment in Kiev.
Creative workshop Fateeva Design implemented a project area of 40 square meters in Kiev, Ukraine. The logic of the interior of this apartment is subject to the lifestyle of a person, and therefore – a minimum of compromises, high expression of the customer, a young gentleman of free.
Clean, constructive space formed clear layout, concise set of materials, the abundance of white surfaces and the local volume of saturated emerald hue. Effectively appearing in the hallway, sophisticated green confidently declares itself and in the living area, fully covering the kitchen unit. A strong accent color and stylistic code of this project, the main factor of identity. Through the comparison of two different environments (dense, imposing, heavily saturated color and light, graphic, airy, almost intangible), the interior is varied and, in a sense, much larger than can be expected from the actual footage.
Another important stylistic element of the apartment unit bedrooms. Implementation of the full lounge was made possible after joining the loggia to the living area. The architectural volume is extremely lightweight and almost does not close the access of natural light to the apartment: the walls glazed in the upper perimeter, the entrance is equipped with a sliding door and dominated by a very light gray-sandy shade.
The futuristic appearance is even more evident inside the “cube”. Here we see an ingenious idea: interior walls designed on the principle of furniture. On a metal frame bearing base mounted minimalist facade; headboard and bed base represent the same construct, the same laconic minimalism. Thus, the thickness of the walls tends to zero, which saves living space, and the entire interior of the bedrooms is perceived “whole Kroenen” volume. In a very clean space, there are only a few accents: the author’s poster, and a familiar emerald hue in the facades of the built-in storage system.
Not counting the bedroom, where this functionality is required, the cabinets in the apartment are missing. The problem is solved by the 6-foot dressing room accessed from the hallway.
An additional tool for visual expansion of the space serve as mirrors. For example, a vertical mirror insert in the dining area. The segment between them is a functional cluster storage gloss and small items that must be on hand. This design, like most pieces of furniture, is the author’s development of the Lena Fateeva, designed and implemented specifically for this interior. Mirror finish is also applied on the two walls of the bathroom.
