Intelligence knew about the impending attack in St. Petersburg – media

The Russian security services knew about the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg.

Russian special services had information about preparation of a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, the newspaper “Kommersant”, citing a “credible source”.

According to the newspaper, about preparation of a terrorist attack intelligence agencies said the Russian, who was arrested when he returned to Russia from Syria. He was accused that he cooperated with terrorists from the “Islamic state” and “knew some of the participants sent to the Russian subversive group.”

As of the publication, from this man’s intelligence services have learned a few phone numbers, but the wire did not give significant results — the SIM card was not registered with “real people” and the conspirators in the negotiations did not call “names, time and place of meetings.”

After the explosion, the newspaper, the security services have blocked these numbers, “once deprived of all underground.”

As reported, on April 3 in Saint-Petersburg on the stretch between the stations “Sennaya square” and “Institute of Technology” explosion. The Ministry of health of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of the terrorist attack in the subway of St. Petersburg killed 11 people. About 45 people were injured.
