Infiniti to start production of the crossover Qashqai under its own brand in China

The model will be presented exclusively at the Chinese market.

Infiniti managers actively look for ways to increase the popularity of brand products, and “Chinese” option may have a positive effect.

Infiniti presented today to China two models of local Assembly – the Q50 sedan (standard or extended wheel bases) and the QX50 crossover.

Sales are quite modest: from January to October, sold about 37 thousand cars, however, the trend is positive this year increase is 15%. Meanwhile, it is logical to expand the range of localized models.

At the Nissan plant in Dalian will soon begin production of the new crossover Infiniti. The Japanese have not yet reported the details, but Chinese reporters learned that the car will be manufactured on the same line as the Nissan X-Trail and Qashqai.
