The FCO has accused the son of Prosecutor General Yury Chaika, Igor Chaika in violation of environmental regulations when burning garbage in the East of Moscow. According to the FBK Nicholas Laskina, we are talking about incineration plant No. 4 near Novokosino district, which is leased by the company “Charter”, where Igor Chaika owns 60% of the shares. The plant is located on leased land, and from the Department of natural resources Moscow, Chaika has received permission to emissions until 2020. “According to this document (resolution), the plant is allowed to emit up to 530 tons of harmful substances,” writes Laskin.
According to the sanitary rules, the minimum distance from homes to objects that threaten the environment and human health shall be 1 km and, according to Laskin, just at a distance of 420 metres from the factory is the first residential building.
