In Zhytomyr rebelled bus carriers

Drivers not out on the trails.

In Zhitomir not massively out on the trails a few private carriers. Thus, they require local government to increase the fares.

The carriers, in writing, warned the city Council that 5 Oct to 10:00 the number of buses on the lines will be limited.

“The basis for such action was the mass Exodus of pay-passenger, full exempts buses, quite often boorish behavior of preferential categories of passengers to the drivers, not the drivers wages who refuse to work in such conditions”, – said carriers.

In turn, the Deputy of the mayor Dmitry Tkachuk said that the city government will not succumb to the “manipulation of carriers”, and also urged residents to leave earlier, and to see the schedule of trolley buses and trams.

From the 2nd of June in Zhytomyr the fare in the bus rose to 5 hryvnia. All private carriers have agreed to the terms of the Executive Committee and signed amendments to the agreement on the carriage, according to which pensioners and other preferential categories of ride in the bus for free throughout the day. Students go on 2 hryvnias throughout the year regardless of the educational process.
