In Ukravtodor said when they will begin to build toll roads

In the next couple of years the toll road will not be exact.

In Ukraine the construction of toll roads in the next 3-4 years will not. This was stated by acting head of Ukravtodor Slawomir Nowak in an interview with the Economic truth.

“First, we need a change in the law on concessions, together with the transport Committee we have gained. The current law does not allow to realize the idea of building toll roads,” said Novak, adding that the concessionaire is required to have a government guarantee of traffic.

According to this, if the traffic will be less than that provided in the agreement with the concessionaire, the state has the difference to cover, said Novak.

“This is a normal European standard – every toll road in the EU is built on such a system. If these changes to the law are adopted, I hope that in 2017 we will be able to invite to the negotiations the largest European companies”, – said the head of Ukravtodor.

According to his calculations, then at least a year or two it will take to reconcile.

“After the signing of the concession contract have a minimum of two years fundraising, then design and then construction. So, I think that not earlier than in 3-4 years,” concluded Novak.
