Gas reserves in underground storages of Ukraine as of September 23, more than 16 billion cubic meters.
As reported on the website of the company “Ukrtransgaz”, which is the operator of the gas transportation system, the total volume in storage is 16,048 billion cubic meters. It’s 15% more than the same date in 2016.
The fix continues in the mode of the 56 million cubic meters per day. At this rate, by the middle of October, when usually begins the heating season and the selection of gas, Ukraine will be able to save about 17 billion cubic meters of gas.
For comparison, in 2016, the gas extraction started on the 16th of October, by this time, UGS managed to accumulate 14,732 billion cubic meters of gas.
In 2015, the selection of gas from underground storages started October 30, 2015, at that time, UGS was a little over 17 billion cubic meters. For the heating season 2014/2015 in Ukraine’s UGS was 16.7 billion cubic meters of gas.
