BP made a bill.
In the Parliament introduced a bill which proposes to set payment for meals for children in schools.
This is evidenced by the text of the draft law No. 7314.
According to him, in Ukrainska schools should be compulsory food for all children: from 1st to 11th grade. While local governments should pay at least 30% of the cost of breakfasts and Lunches, a more up to 70% of this amount will be covered by the parents.
At the moment in Ukraine, local authorities provide free meals to children-orphans, children with special needs and students in grades 1-4.
The author of the initiative people’s Deputy faction of the BPP Oleg Barna proposes to add to the list of children from large and single-parent families, but to remove the younger students. Thus, Ukraine may impose a charge for school meals for all students.
According Ministerstatutory and science, on September 1, 2017 number of pupils in schools was 3, 75 million. While free meals provided 1.5 million children.
