In Ukraine, vegetable prices jumped up

The expert said that the jump in food prices in Ukraine was predictable.

Since the beginning of the year in Ukraine has risen all social products, except buckwheat.

It is reported by the head of the Association of retailers of Ukraine Oleksiy Doroshenko.

According to the expert, for five months of the current year from 23 positions in the list of social food has risen 21 position, that is, almost 98%.

“According to the State statistics service, for the month of may there has been a rapid rise in prices of meat (pork for 15 UAH, beef UAH 13). Now a kilo of pork can be bought at a price average of 88 UAH per kilo, and beef – 100 UAH”, – says Alexander Doroshenko.

The expert stressed that also resulted to high prices of vegetables. Carrots rose by UAH 8 cabbage – 6 onions UAH – 5 UAH, potatoes – at UAH 4, Buryak – 3 UAH.

“Prices continue to rise for dairy products. Most of the “milk” has risen in price cheese – UAH 12, its average price in Ukraine is now 93 UAH. per kilogram. Butter you can buy at 141 UAH per 1 kg, which is 6 UAH more expensive from the prices of the previous period. Cream rose by UAH 5, milk for 1 UAH. The most demanded product – social bread as white and black, went up by 1 UAH. More than 1 hryvnia rose cooked sausage – 4 C, sugar to 2 UAH, chicken – UAH 2, fat – 1 grn, rice – 1 grn. Again, the increase in the price of chicken eggs over the week they rose by UAH 4, was 7.5 UAH, steel 11,50 UAH”, – lists A. Doroshenko.

However, the expert noted the drop in the price of buckwheat to 2 UAH, kilogram of buckwheat can now be bought for 27 UAH per 1 kg.
