In an interview, Walker said that in the Donbass war, not a conflict, and it continues because of the desire of Russia to control Ukraine.
The special representative of the US state Department in Ukraine Kurt Volker in an interview with the French newspaper Le Monde said that Ukraine is a real war.
“It (conflict – ed.) cannot be described as a frozen conflict or the stabilization of the situation, as the agreement on the cease-fire is violated daily by a thousand times, every day people are dying out there. It is a real war,” said Walker, noting that the war continues because of Russia’s desire to retain control over Kiev.
The special representative sees the delivery Ukraine arms as a variant of the pressure on Moscow and acknowledges that the conflict in the Donbass prevents the establishment of a partnership between the United States and Russia.
