This year experts predict growth of prices for beef pork and chicken. Prices for chicken will not change as much as pork or beef. Poultry do not pay land tax and land rental.

Pork rose in price faster: 7.3% (5.6 UAH) to 82 UAH / kg. For the year the average price tag has grown by 12%.

Poultry meat (average price of 43, 6 UAH / kg) rose in April by 2.8% or by UAH 1.2 per year – the same 12%.

According to the Economic discussion club, for 4 months 2017 the price of the minimum food basket increased by 130 UAH.

Ukrainians spend on food about 55% of their income. The cost of meat products amount to 306 UAH. People eat almost twice less meat than Europeans, – 52-53 kg vs 80 kg in the EU.
