On April 28 Ukraine will start to operate new rules of crossing of vehicles roundabouts. Continue the advantage to such intersections provided the vehicle, which already are moving in a circle.
These changes were embodied in act No. 1993-VIII “On amendments to article 41 of the Law of Ukraine “On road traffic” (concerning the priority of vehicles moving in a circle)”. Today, April 27, it was published in “Voice of Ukraine” – the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada. The next day after the publication of the law comes into force.
That the change of traffic rules in roundabouts was stated in the bill No. 4246. The Verkhovna Rada voted for its adoption at the beginning of the current month. The innovation was supported by 234 deputies.
In the explanatory note to the draft law, the necessity of its adoption was justified by the high accident rate at roundabouts, due to the fact that “every city has its” rule of intersection.
