The funds alleged the former President and his entourage in Cyprus companies confiscated from the accounts of Ukrgasbank.

With the Cyprus companies associated with former President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage, sought 55 million and a million dollars. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of justice in the Executive service Svetlana Glushchenko, transfers a press-Department service on Friday, may 10.

“Refund to the state of Ukraine in the execution of the sentence of the court on the application of special confiscation, forced seizure of the property of the state money from companies EROSARIA LTD and Aldoza Investments Limited, which were included in the accounts at AB Ukrgasbank – said Glushchenko.

She said that on 7 may according cases to the Deposit account of the State Executive service of Ukraine received funds in both industries in the amount of 55 342 762,37 hryvnia and 1010 072,39 USD.

We will remind, in February, Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko reported about the confiscation of 1.5 billion UAH, which will be used to support the army.

According to Lutsenko, Yanukovych’s money was kept for 100 accounts. As explained by the attorney General, these funds are stolen in different ways on the territory of Ukraine, are derived from the country through a number of offshore jurisdictions and fell in the “global sink”.

At the same time, the lawyers of Yanukovych, denied any involvement in confiscated stredstva.
