Duel of the championship of Russia on hockey, in which players “Baikal-Energy” and “Vodnik” scored an own goal 20 goals, a disgrace to the whole world of sport. This opinion was expressed by the President of Federation of hockey of Ukraine (FHMR) Sergey Babenko.

While its absolutely not surprised that this happened in Russia.

“This case is completely unprecedented. This could not happen anywhere except in Russia. If it happened, say in Finland, I’d be deeply touched. But there would be players just hesitate to behave. First and foremost, it is the fault of the teams. Yes, regulation is imperfect, teams were situational unmotivated, but that’s no excuse for the “show” that we were forced to watch. It’s downright shameful,” – said Babenko.

He also called for the severely punish the participants of the match, and sees no point in the replay of the controversial game.

“The participants of the match should be punished. Perhaps we should apply international sanctions, because the same “Baikal” involved in the competition. But, thank God, it’s not an international issue, and the Russian Federation. The fact that the match will be replayed on a neutral field, there is little change. Where is the guarantee that this embarrassment does not happen again? To hold this match again – a useless thing”, – concluded the head FHMR.
