The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has assigned a Ukrainian 616 honorary title of heroine Mother, according to the press service of the head of state.
Honorary title awarded to mothers from all regions of Ukraine. Most of the women who received the award in the Rivne region – 137. In Volyn region award for 76 women. In the Transcarpathian region – 49 women.
State award of heroine Mother celebrate mothers who have given birth to and raised until the age of eight five and more children, and women raising foster children.
Recall that in 2018 the honorary title of Mother-heroine received 1051 mother.
The second Sunday in may Ukrainians traditionally celebrate mother’s Day. This year the holiday fell on may 12.
