In Ukraine is significantly more expensive “borscheva set”

Borscheva set in the current year will rise by at least 70%.

The cost of the vegetables included in borscheva set, this fall, will jump in price by at least 70%.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the Association of farmers and private landowners of Ukraine Ivan Tomic.

“As for borsch is beet, carrot, cabbage, onion and potatoes, then the problem is not the formation of the harvest, and that at least 30% of the planted acreage is less. This will affect crop production negatively, and the harvest will be at least 20-30% less compared to last year”, – said the expert.

According to him, the weather conditions this year had a negative impact on the development of heat-loving vegetables – tomatoes, peppers, eggplant.

“Earlier, I predicted that the vegetables in October 2017, compared with the previous year, will be more expensive to 70%, now I understand that prices will not rise to 70%, and 70%.”, – added the landowner.
