To raise prices the sellers fails due to the significant increase in demand for bananas.
Despite the seasonal increase in the supply of banana in Ukraine, sellers could raise prices for these products.
According to the project for a week the fruit on the Ukrainian market rose by an average of 11%. Today shops offer a large wholesale bananas at 20-22 UAH/kg (0.64 to 0.70 Euro/kg), whereas a week ago the prices for these products on the Ukrainian market started from 18 UAH/kg (0,57 Euro/kg).
To raise prices the sellers fails due to the significant increase in demand for bananas, and is interested in buying these fruits manifest as wholesale companies and retail chains.
Note that at the moment the bananas in Ukraine are actually the same as in early November 2016. At the same time, market players do not rule out that the upward price trend in this segment is temporary in nature because the supply of banana in the Ukrainian market continues to increase.
