In Ukraine, inflation accelerated

In January, inflation amounted to 1.1%.

In January 2017, consumer prices rose by 1.1%. In December of last year, they rose 0.9%.

This was reported by the State statistics service.

Most (14.5%) grew vegetables. 3.9 and 2.2% increase in prices for fruit, milk, cream, fermented milk products, beef, cheese, butter. At the same time, 2.3% cheaper eggs.

Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1.2%, tobacco products – by 2.1%, alcoholic beverages – by 0.7%,

Clothing and footwear fell by 4.3%, in particular clothes – 4.4%, footwear – by 4.1%.

The increase in prices for transport in General by 2.7%, due mainly to the rise in road transport by 4.5%, fuel and lubricants by 2.8%, cars – by 2.1%.

Education services rose by 1.1% mainly due to the increase of fees for the maintenance of children in preschool institutions by 8.8%.

Compared to January 2016 January 2017 consumer prices have risen 12.6%.
