In Ukraine, detained the former officials of Georgia, who is wanted by Interpol

The closest ally of Saakashvili tried to enter Ukraine on a false passport.

The closest ally of the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, the former head of the military police of the Ministry of defense of Georgia Megis Kardava was detained in Ukraine. He is wanted by Interpol.

It is reported that Kardava detained when entering the territory of Ukraine on a false passport.

Kardava is accused Georgia of committing killings, torture of prisoners, the organization of secret surveillance of political opponents and embezzlement of public funds.

At the time he was in the entourage of Saakashvili.

Now Kardava delivered to Kiev and is awaiting extradition to Georgia, where he was sentenced in absentia to nine years in prison.

Megis Kardava in 2012 left Georgia and in 2013 was wanted by Interpol on the basis of the materials of the Georgian Prosecutor’s office.

Earlier it was reported that the court will deal with the claim Saakashvili to the migration service on 30 November.

We will remind, Georgia has promised to begin steps to extradite Saakashvili.
