In Ukraine can toughen the punishment for driving without a license

In Ukraine, want to significantly improve one of the penalties for drivers.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is preparing to consider a bill to toughen penalties for drivers operating a vehicle without proper rights or refused to provide a driver’s license for verification.

The proposed amount of the penalty — 300 non-taxable minimum, that is 5100 UAH. Now the fine for driving without a license is 510 UAH.

In addition, the deputies propose to increase to six months the period of temporary seizure of the drivers license and terms of imposing of an administrative penalty in cases which are considered by the courts. This will eliminate the possibility of a tightening of consideration of cases with the aim of avoiding responsibility.
