From now on, Ukravtodor will be responsible only for 50 thousand km of roads, and the rest will pass to the balance areas.
Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced in Facebook that from 1 January in Ukraine began the work of the State road Fund.
“From January 1, begins the work the Road Fund. For the first time, the road sector will receive guaranteed government funding. This year is almost 33 billion hryvnia plus separate additional funding of several key thoroughfares by more than 14 billion hryvnia,” − wrote Omelian.
According to him, with the new year, Ukravtodor will be responsible only for 50 thousand kilometers of highways, the remaining 120 thousand transferred to the balance of areas with guaranteed funding of the state from the Road Fund in the amount of 35% of its revenues.
“Now everyone has the right and should demand from the government good roads and not to nod disappointedly at Kiev”, − said the Minister.
