FlixBus launches direct routes to Europe from Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne and Zhytomyr.
One of the largest bus operators in Europe – German company Flixbus launches direct routes from Ukraine to Poland and the Czech Republic.
So, from July 27 night routes from Kiev, Lviv, Rivne and Zhytomyr will travel to Poland (Krakow, Wroclaw) and Czech Republic (Ostrava, Prague, Brno). Day routes will be run on August 10.
In fact, Flixbus were present at the market of Ukraine from June 2016 and sold tickets from Lviv and Uzhgorod to Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Frankfurt and other cities, however, direct transport of Ukraine carries out its partner company LEO Express.
“New routes FlixBus in Ukraine is another step in the direction of extension, FlixBus on the territory of Eastern Europe. Whereas the European Union decision on visa-free regime with Ukraine, we expect growth in demand for travel to Europe from Ukraine. In our further plans include an even larger number of FlixBus routes from Ukraine to Europe”, – said Mykola Voytyuk, Vice President of FlixBus in Eastern Europe.
The interest of big European companies to the Ukrainian market is planned for 2016, when several companies (in particular Operators and LEO Express) began to operate passenger services to/from Ukraine. And in early 2017 Latvian Norma-A (works in several countries of Eastern Europe under the brand name of Ecolines) purchased the passenger business of the Ukrainian transport company Autolux.
