The solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of Turkish University Alaaddin Keykubat in Alanya ended in the hospital for nine young people who suffered as a result of an untimely explosion of fireworks. Graduates received injuries to the head and legs.
An incident almost turned tragedy occurred in the local outdoor theater. Immediately after the graduates threw their hats in the air after receiving diplomas, the crowd of 639 people, an explosion occurred. Nine of them were injured and were hospitalized.
Other visitors of the festival said that exploding fireworks knocked out of their hand bags and destroyed shoes. Graduates of the victims suffered burns, one of them ended up in the hospital with a brain hemorrhage. Some suffer from partial hearing loss. Fortunately, no one died.
Who is to blame in this incident is still unknown.
