In Transcarpathia in the near future will begin the restoration of the castle, located near Uzhgorod. This is one of the most famous castles of Transcarpathia, which was built in the 13th century. Now a unique structure, which for centuries held back the armies of various conquerors, is in a dilapidated condition.

“From now on the operational management of the monument of architecture of national value “the Castle” will deal with the Department of culture of Transcarpathian regional state administration. The decision was made in connection with the need to address issues on emergency conservation status of this unique object,” – said Gennady Moskal on its website.

According to the Governor, is already preparing the project documentation for the restoration of the wooden roof over one of the towers, and carrying out conservation work.

The approximate cost of works will amount to 4 thousand 600 hryvnias Tisa. Sources of funding will be the State regional development Fund and the regional budget Transcarpathian region.

We add that the Nevitsky castle is one of the most popular tourist sites of Transcarpathia, which is annually visited by a huge number of people.
