Zoo staff will show visitors the species of fish that are found in the river.
In the Kiev zoo are opening a new exhibit, “Fishes of the Dnieper”, which visitors will be able to see on the “Island of animals”.
In the aquarium, which is designed for 12 thousand liters of water (until 2015 lived a large Hawksbill turtle), will launch the fish that are found in the river.
“This composition should fulfil an educational function. To zoo visitors and especially the children had the opportunity to witness the beauty of the underwater world is the main river of Ukraine. Find out what kinds of fish are found in the district of Kiev. By the way, all the decorations in the aquarium – driftwood, algae, taken from the bottom of the Dnieper,” – said in a zoo.
Incomplete exposure can already be seen on the “Island of beasts”, the zoo engaged in cleaning of water in the aquarium and is preparing to launch a new fish. To be accommodated silver carp, sterlet, carp, perch, pike-perch, bream, ruff ordinary, catfish and even crayfish, which are found in the river.
