In the winery during the work on heating systems on the street, the Magistrate’s found safe the Nazi during the Second world war.
The safe’s been opened more than one and a half hours in the courtyard of the regional Museum in the presence of journalists.
It is noted that any valuables in the safe Deposit box were not found, but found pieces of documents typed on a typewriter in Russian. Some were covered with rust and Golden dust.
“Like before the war, production of paper of a company, probably a power plant. Most likely, a safe stood in the building where the explosion fell through the floor and the safe fell into the dungeon. While it has not spared the metal rusted, the moisture got in. When will be able to clean the box, to restore, maybe there you can see some information about the manufacturer,” – said the head of the sector of cultural heritage Department of culture and tourism of Vinnytsia regional state administration Mikhail Potupchik.
The documents will be given to the examination and restoration, and the safe will serve as an exhibit in the Museum.
