It turns out that Russia was not involved in the fraud during the elections of 2016.
The Chairman of the intelligence Committee of the US Senate Richard Burr said that despite the alleged attempt of Russia to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, the outcome of the vote had not referred to.
“Russian intervention had no effect on the election results,” he said Wednesday at a press conference dedicated to status of investigation into the alleged intervention of the Russian Federation.
At the same time also present at the press conference, a representative of the Committee, Democrat mark Warner, said that Russia’s goal was “to wreak havoc and cause a split in our country.”
In turn, Burr described actions allegedly undertaken by Russia in 2016, as “a very wide network of Russian intervention”.
We will remind, recently the founder of Facebook mark Zuckerberg declared that will give to Congress information on the so-called “case of Russian intervention” in the us presidential elections in 2016. He noted that the administration of social networks in the future will require individuals placing political advertising, to specify its sponsors.
In turn, the Russian authorities have traditionally denied any involvement in the interference in the internal Affairs of States through the social network Facebook.
