In Ohio (USA) the ride broke a number of chairs, resulting in one person was killed and seven were wounded.
Three victims are in serious condition. It is noted that the attraction, called “fireball”, gets a number of seats with people. In the fire service reported that the dead man was thrown into the air, then he fell about 15 metres from the attraction.
Before the start of the fair the attraction was checked and no faults were found. After the failure of “Ball lightning” all the rides at the fair were closed.
