In the US, the woman sued for compensation of 100 thousand dollars after burned by hot coffee in Starbucks, reports USA Today.
Mogavero Joanna, a mother of three children, suffered burns of first and second degree after a Cup of flew cover and very hot coffee (87 °C) resulted in her lap. The incident occurred in 2014.
Her lawyer argues that Starbucks should warn their customers that the cover can come off with the Cup.
The jury awarded Mogavero $15 thousand compensation for repayment of medical bills and $85 thousand for pain and suffering.
Previously, the district court in Dublin ruled that Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has paid 10.5 million euros the passenger who spilled tea on the plane of the airline.
We will remind that earlier the court in the US has ordered Starbucks to pay 2.76 billion dollars for breach of contract that it had with Kraft Foods.
From 2008 to 2011 the company was engaged in the supply of packs of Starbucks coffee shops. This collaboration ended prematurely: Starbucks accused your partner of numerous violations of the conditions of contract and improper use of its brand.
