Underwater missile will aim at the Korean warheads.
The Agency on ballistic missile defense (BMD) of the USA together with the American Navy conducted a successful test of the interceptor missile SM-6. She hit the target – a ballistic missile of average range.
On Wednesday informed the representatives of the Agency. The start was made from the destroyer John Paul Jones off the coast of Hawaii.
“We will continue developing our technology in the field of protection against ballistic missiles, to be ready for any threat,” said Agency Director ABOUT Lieutenant General Sam greaves.
He said that the tests have strengthened the U.S. ability to intercept ballistic missiles in the last stage of the flight when they enter the atmosphere near the target.
Training start, as noticed in the missile defense Agency, was made a day after North Korea launched a ballistic missile, which flew over the North-Eastern part of Japan and had fallen into the Pacific ocean in 1180 km to the East of the island of Hokkaido.

However, the U.S. Navy said that the last test was long-planned and not connected with military activity by Pyongyang.
