Three-time world champion Russian Maria Laecken recognized as the best high jumper of the decade by the American magazine Track & Field. Magazine published its own ratings for each athletics discipline.
The five best jumpers in height also includes the Russians Anna Chicherova (2nd place) and Svetlana Shkolina (5).
Among the jumpers with a pole magazine gave the first place American Jennifer sur. Holds the world record Yelena Isinbayeva took only fourth place. The eighth was Anzhelika Sidorova, ninth – Svetlana Feofanova.
