On may 2, unknown persons defaced the painting of Christopher wool “untitled 2004”, which cost almost three million dollars.
The man in dark glasses and a cap approached the canvas and twice hit him with a knife. Then he turned and left the gallery. In total, the room he spent no more than 15 seconds. The incident was caught on a surveillance camera at the Opera gallery in aspen (Colorado). However to catch a man and even his identity has not yet succeeded.
According to the gallery owner Gregory Lahmi, at the moment the picture is almost destroyed, although it continues to remain in its place in the exhibition hall. Assistant Lajmi added that the offender intentionally went to the canvas Voula.
The Museum staff also remembered that a few weeks before the incident, they received strange phone calls. Unknown specify whether the canvas is in their gallery.
