A group of engineers and architects from mit in the United States won the competition Mars City Design 2017, creating a prototype housing for the future colonization of Mars. The initiators and sponsors of the contest were the National Aeronautics and space administration USA and the European space Agency.
Martian housing made in the form of domes connected by tunnels under the planet’s surface. The dome will reliably protect people from radiation, temperature changes and the fall of small meteorites. Each dome can accommodate up to 50 people.
In November it was reported that China planned by 2020 to launch a Mars space craft in year 2030 to be transported from Mars to Earth soil samples.
