A court in Seattle refused to take into account the confession of the son of the Deputy.
A Federal court in Seattle sentenced a Russian citizen Novel Seleznev to 27 years of imprisonment in the case of fraud.
In August last year, Roman Seleznev, the son of the Deputy of the state Duma from LDPR Valery Seleznev, was convicted of fraud, computer hacking, possession of illegally acquired credit cards and identity theft.
In a written statement Selezneva, which was read by his attorney Igor Litvak, convicted, called the verdict “is equivalent to a death” and “undeserved” and asked for help from the Russian authorities.
“As a citizen of Russia, I send a message to officials of my country: please help me, I beg of you,” – said in a statement.
