Representatives of Spanish oil company Repsol and its American partner company Armstrong Energy announced on Thursday, March 9, about the opening of new oil fields in Alaska.
This Deposit is the largest of the public land in the territory of the United States over the past 30 years.
The volume of recoverable hydrocarbon reserves estimated by the company itself, is 1.2 billion barrels. From 2021 daily oil production there could reach 120 thousand barrels. For comparison, this is more than produced one of the largest Russian fields, Priobskoye.
Repsol was involved in exploration in Alaska since 2008.
