There are convinced that Russia and Ukraine are not waging a war among themselves.
In the state Duma opposed the deployment of peacekeepers on the border of Russia and Ukraine. This was announced by first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Dmitry Novikov.
According to him, such a scenario shouldn’t even be discussed, because Russia and Ukraine are not conducting a war among themselves.
“With the same pleasure, the US state Department could offer to place the armed forces peacekeepers on the border of Ukraine and Poland, Belarus and Russia, Russia and China, China and India,” he said.
At the same time, Novikov agreed that it is necessary to deploy peacekeepers on the demarcation line in the Donbass.
