Such a position of the President of the United States will not affect the reset in Russian-American relations, considers Slutsky.
Moscow is too early ranked by U.S. President Donald trump to the allies, but its position relative to the occupied Crimea should not affect the restoration of ties between the two countries. This was stated by the head of the state Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky.
According to him, such position of the President of the United States will not affect the reset in Russian-American relations.
“The possibility of a reset in Russian-American relations is not crossed, but, nevertheless, such a statement is like a cold shower, some of our cools too fast and at the same time high expectations in respect of trump and his team,” – said Slutsky.
In his opinion, this position is not so much the trump, how many American politicians with whom he does not want to go to the conflict in the beginning of his political career.
Slutsky believes that Russia is too early to identify a new President of the United States to the allies.
“Relations between Moscow and Washington will change for the better, but this process will take a lot of time, because anti-Russian sentiment in the US is now very strong”, – said Russian politician.
