Responsibility for attack was assumed by the terrorist group “Al-Shabab”.
A car bomb exploded near a restaurant in the centre of the Somali capital Mogadishu, at least nine people were killed.
“At the moment we can confirm the death of nine people, among them mostly women and children,” said police captain Mohamed Hussein.
Earlier it was reported that the explosion occurred near a restaurant, Posh Treats, popular with the urban elite, after an explosion inside the house started shooting. In the same room is a hotel Posh Hotel, where the only disco in town.
According to the Agency, the responsibility for the attack took on terrorist group “Al-Shabab”.
In Somalia “Al-Shabab” is an armed struggle against the Central government and impedes the humanitarian activities of the UN. The group made the U.S. list of terrorist organizations in 2008, in respect of it in the country of sanctions.
