Roskomnadzor requires the owner of Telegram Pavel Durov to provide information about the messenger application for entry in the register of the organizers of the dissemination.
This was stated by the head of Department Alexander Zharov.
“During the week I plan to contact him (Durova. – Ed.) personally,” – said Zharov.
He added that Roskomnadzor “waiting-waiting for the messenger’s answer, but until he got it.”
Previously, administrators Telegram channels turned asked her not to allow blocking of Telegram. These persons said that Roskomnadzor has demanded from the Telegram to provide information on the introduction of the messenger in the registry of the organizers of the dissemination.
Clarifies that under Russian law, failure to submit relevant information, the app can block on the territory of Russia.
It is also reported that the press Secretary of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonskiy called information on the treatment of Roskomnadzor administration of Telegram rumors.
