The Minister of the Russian Federation for civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters Vladimir Puchkov has announced the introduction of a state of emergency in the whole Rostov region.

This occurred because a major fire in Rostov-on-don.

The decision to declare a full scale emergency was declared at the meeting of the working group of governmental Commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.

“Introduce a state of emergency throughout the territory of the Rostov region. This is an emergency situation of Federal level”, – said Puchkov.

In Rostov-on-don burn dozens of private houses, heard loud explosions. In one of the houses around noon explosion. According to one version, it happened due to leakage of household gas. The fire quickly spread to other residential buildings, and total area of the fire has reached 6 thousand sq. m.
