In the Pacific found the boat during the First World war

Submarine discovered at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Around the island, belonging to Papua-New Guinea, search mission found the place where sank the submarine of the Australian Navy.

According to the website of the Ministry of defence, the Australian submarine HMAS AE1 disappeared on 14 September 1914 near the port of Rabaul on the island of New Britain in the state of Papua-New Guinea and the fate of the crew became a mystery centuries in the military history of Australia.

“A new expedition in search of the submarine was launched last week. Search the ship Furgro Equator have established the location of the submarine at a depth of over 300 meters”, – stated in the message.

As pointed out by the defense Ministry, “it was the first loss of Royal naval forces of Australia and the first loss of a submarine of the allies in the First world war”.
