Member of the European Parliament from the German party “Soyuz-90″/”green” Rebecca harms criticized the popular German musical group, Scooter, who must act in the festival champagne #ZBFest in Russian-occupied Crimea.
This is stated in the message of the German newspaper Frankfurter allgemeine.
“Scooter still that Crimea is illegally occupied by Russian troops,” she said.
The Deputy believes that artists should be ashamed of their irresponsibility, because the Russian authorities “made from the Crimea to the largest military base on the Black sea”.
“Speak only in the interests of their own fans absolutely not do,” she added.
At the same time the leader of the Scooter is H. P. Baxter does not see anything wrong and is considering his band purely as a musical event.
“We will not allow ourselves to be drawn into politics,” said the German musicians.
The festival champagne #ZBFest will be held in Balaklava on 4 and 5 August. In addition to the German group there will also perform Sergei Shnurov and group “Leningrad”, Garik Sukachev and “Brigade” Sergei Galanin and the group “Earring”, Dima Bilan, “Degrees”, and L ONE.
