Nariman Celal expressed his opinion.
The return of the occupied Crimea may occur if Ukraine will take “a set of mechanisms, in particular, the existing economic sanctions, to work for the protection of human rights and political prisoners.”
This was told by Deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Nariman Celal.
“If Ukraine has chosen the peaceful way to return Crimea and in the Crimea many support such a vector, it should be a huge diplomatic work, it does not give immediate results,” – said Celal.
According to him, the initiative of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the establishment of “friends of de-occupation of the Crimea” may be a new step towards the return of the occupied Peninsula, but only if it will not be the only tool.
“But the “other measures” that would have amounted to a coherent strategy to return the Peninsula, the authorities in all the years of occupation of the Crimea and has not appeared. The creation of a “circle of friends” may not be the plan, but only the platform on which strategy can be present, but the strategy itself is not”, – concluded the Deputy head of the Majlis.
