The Federation Council addressed to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with the request to instruct the relevant departments to develop a set of sanctions against Poland because of the scandal with the Soviet monuments.

In the address by Russian senators said that the sanctions are planned to enter also against some Polish parliamentarians who voted for the law on demolition of Soviet monuments.

“Please give instructions to the relevant Federal Executive authorities to submit a comprehensive proposal on the possible introduction of restrictive measures in the areas of bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Poland, and also in respect of the Polish Parliament-the initiators of the act of 1 April 2016 banning the promotion of communism or another totalitarian regime, and other physical and legal entities”, – reads the statement of the senators to the President.
