In the Kiev metro explained why on one of the stations is St. George ribbon

St. George’s ribbon will be removed.

Kiev metro is ready to remove from the station “Heroes of Dnepr” prohibited by law, the St. George’s ribbon after the relevant decision of the Kyiv city Council.

About it said press Secretary of the KP “Kiev underground” Natalia Makogon.

“Kyiv metro communal enterprise. We performed a decision by the city. For example, when it was introduced the law on de-communization, the city Council made the decision and set a clear list of objects and stations on which to work. Therefore, if the city Council decides, of course, we are physically going to work. But we have as a company to make such decisions is not competent,” said Makogon.

According to her, today, only one metro station “Heroes of Dnepr” placed St. George ribbon.

Recall that in Ukraine today entered into force a law banning St. George ribbon.
