In the Kharkiv region detained a Russian smuggling 14 tons of rotten fish

Law enforcement officers detained in the Kharkiv region two trucks with 14 tons unfit for human consumption fish of Russian origin. About it reports a press-service gpsu.

“During the joint activities undertaken by frontier guards of Department “crone” of Kharkiv detachment, soldiers of the mobile border detachment “Watch” and SBU, the Russian-Ukrainian border detained two consignments of frozen fish”, – have informed in a press-service of frontier guards.

In the area of the settlement izbyts’ke when crossing the border violators from Russia, the border guards detained the truck “Ural” and two people without documents. According to them, they are citizens of Ukraine. In the body of the vehicle militiamen found frozen anchovy, which in the car was about 6 tons.

In addition, on the outskirts of the village Velykyy Burluk Kharkov region, border guards found and detained another lorry “KAMAZ” without registration plates. In it the Ukrainian carrying a cargo of frozen anchovy, weighing about 8 tons.

“It is worth noting that the date of packing of the goods which were indicated on the boxes, use of the term fish Russian production has ended”, – noted in state frontier service.

The Ministry added that were detained for illegal border crossing and violation of the border regime made administrative reports. Cars with the goods will be transferred to the staff of the SFS. Ongoing verification activities and the persons detained.
